Extension requests do NOT extend the length of your proposal. Screening Access proposals are granted four months to access PNCC services while General Access proposals are given two years. This time frame can not be adjusted with the use of an extension request. The function of an extension request is to award 24-120 hours of additional microscope time to General Access proposals without going over 480 hours per year.
