PNCC can certify users to independently operate our equipment through training or submitting this form. Staff time is limited and not guaranteed for certified users. Additionally, independent users can enjoy more relaxed microscope loading and can utilize our scopes outside of standard hours, which can reduce waiting times.
If a user is independent, PNCC will expect that scheduling requests for proposals they are listed, be placed as Operate Independently only. This ensures maximum utilization of our instruments as well as staff time.
Additionally, NIH requires microscope run metrics and our independent users need to log their microscope runs here.
